Send leads from your server to count them

A signup sent only from the browser is now recorded as provisional on older programs too. Send the lead from your server with your program API key so it counts.

Action required. Developers: If you send signups only from the browser, also send them from your server with your program API key and the visitor's click ID.

Leads sent only from the browser are now recorded as provisional on every program unless it explicitly allows browser leads. New programs already worked this way. Older programs that never chose a policy now do too.

What changes

A provisional lead does not credit a partner on its own. It settles when your server sends the lead with your program API key, or when that customer's first payment arrives through your connected Stripe account.

What to do

When a customer signs up, send the lead from your server. Forward the visitor's affitor_click_id cookie as click_id, so the lead is tied to the partner's click:

curl -X POST https://api.affitor.com/api/v1/track/lead \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_PROGRAM_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"click_id":"<affitor_click_id cookie>","customer_key":"usr_abc123","email":"jane@example.com"}'

If you take payments through Stripe Checkout on a connected account, the first payment settles the lead for you.

How to tell

The browser call answers with "provisional": true. In the dashboard, your partners' signups stay flat while clicks keep rising.
